OpenSourceInsurance.org launches today, a new site designed to catalogue all insurance related open source software.

Before OpenSourceInsurance.org it was difficult to find open source software designed specifically for the insurance industry. There is a distinct lack of insurance industry related support on existing open source websites and traditional search engines proving ineffective; returning lists of insurance companies and their products for any insurance related search. Now with OpenSourceInsurance.org it is possible to locate the right open source solution for specific insurance requirements quickly and easily.
The site is being offered as a free and independent resource for open source projects and users, offering a software catalogue, news and a forum. Everything is free to use, although to post to the forum you must first register with the site (all details remain confidential and are not used for any purpose other than allowing you to post), this is to help prevent spam posting and to keep all content relevant to open source and insurance.
Applied Industrial Logic is sponsoring OpenSourceInsurance.org by providing hosting facilities.
