What is OpenQuote

OpenQuote is a piece of software that has been designed to allow insurance schemes and products to be quoted for on-line.

Products can be configured in OpenQuote detailing all the risk information that needs to be captured.  Assesment and rating rules can then be specified for that product, this allows OpenQuote to capture risk details via the internet and  automatically produce quotation documents with a valid calculated premiums.

The system is designed for insurers and brokers selling insurance either directly to customers or via agents.  Premium bordereaus, and schedules can be generated when quotes are accepted.

Technical Details

OpenQuote is a J2EE (Java) based server side system (this means it needs to be hosted on a server running a Java application server).  User access to the system is done via any internet browser.
